Squash

I played competitive squash for many years, including first grade in Adelaide and Canberra and represented the Australian Capital Territory in 1972. I have been a Vice President of both the South Australian and Australian Capital Territory Squash Rackets Associations.

I played in a first grade grand final in Adelaide in 1971, winning my rubber, and several in Canberra in the 1970s, being in the winning Canberra team on three occasions. In 1978 I lived in the UK and was accepted as an entrant in the British Open. I also played in the Australian Open and Amateur Championships during the 1970s.

Athletics

I am a qualified starter with Athletics Australia and for a number of years started at meetings of the Australian Capital Territory Athletics Association. I retired from this in 2001 after moving to a rural property.

Cattle Breeding

We live about 40 km from Canberra. On this property we breed Murray Grey beef cattle as the Sunny Corner stud. During 2005, due to extreme drought conditions we have sold off our breeding stock and are awaiting rain to allow the property to recover.

Cattle Bred

We have bred the following registered Murray Greys:

which have been sold to commercial farms. Blue and Bruno have already been highly successful as bulls.
